DIY Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

Meet Pippa. She is my inspiration for all dog related adventures.

One of these days I will get my act together and write about how I got Pippa but until then just settle for knowing that I've never loved anything more than I love her.  I do alot of training with Pippa, fingers crossed she will turn out to be well behaved. Regardless, it can be so expensive to stay stocked on training treats. I've found that Pippa is primarily a play motivated dog but she is also food motivated so I ventured in to the world of baking for dogs.  In this post I will share one recipe that I make that all the puppies LOVE.

Let me start by sharing these adorable dog bone cookie cutters I got. I think they were $5-$6 on amazon (aka a sick deal) and they come with four different sizes. I'm obsessed.

The wonderful thing about this recipe is that it only requires FOUR INGREDIENTS, and you probably have most of them in your pantry right now. All you need is:

2 Tablespoons of Unsweetened Applesauce
1/2 Cup of Creamy Peanut Butter (natural is best)
1 Cup of Water
3 Cups of Whole Wheat Flour

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. the great thing about this recipe is its simplicity. All you need to do is put the ingredients in a bowl and mix (I used my hands because the dough is really thick).

Once the dough is evenly mixed, roll out and use your adorable cookie cutters to make shapes. You can use any shape cookie cutter, don't feel like it has to be shaped like a bone. I did halloween themed dog cookies this year to be fun and festive. You can also use a pizza cutter and make quick and easy squares.

Once they are cut, place them on a pan and cook for 20 minutes.

Waiting was the hardest part for Pippa.

Let them cool for 10 minutes and then they are ready to enjoy!!

The dogs love these simple treats and the recipe makes enough to last an entire month. If you have any questions or just want to praise my work, comment below.

Lots of Love,
Katy
